Spirit of 1776 (the spirit of
freedom)…is an American phenomenon and simply the greatest historical event in
history, which celebrates the year the United States declared its independence and freedom. This
incredible coin set features three legal tender U.S. State Quarters that were
struck by the U.S. Mint, then privately colorized with images of the Spirit of
Freedom and the great events that took place.
1776 New Jersey – George
Washington crosses the Delaware River to capture Trenton,
NJ which is considered by some as the
greatest war victory in U.S. History (NJ State Quarter). 1776 Pennsylvania
- a chime that changed the world occurred on July 8, 1776, when the Liberty Bell rang out from the tower
of Independence Hall in Philadelphia,
summoning citizens to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of
Independence (PA State Quarter). 1777 Delaware
- We the People” are the first words of the U.S. Constitution - the world’s
oldest written constitution still in effect in which Delaware
was named the first state (DE State Quarter).
